Dress for Success Hamilton is a not for profit organisation located in the CBD providing an employment dressing service and career support to Waikato women. Our service is utterly dependent on the 28 volunteers who serve our clients. The two hour free parking is a key as many of our volunteers are retired, on a fixed income and unable to afford to pay for 3 hours parking to volunteer at Dress for Success. Can I recommend that volunteers of nfp's are issued with a parking exemption voucher as some of our volunteers struggle to pay even the one hour fee once their free parking runs out. These volunteers attend one day a week for 3 - 4 hours to serve women in our community. [redacted]
We’re proposing to balance our books in 2024/25 and reset our debt-to-revenue ratio to 300% for 2021/22 then decreasing by 5% each year until 2025/26 where we will remain at 280% from 2026/27 to 2030/31. Rates are proposed to increase by an average of 8.9% in 2021/22 and 4.9% annually until 2030/31.
We have lots of other projects included in our Long-Term Plan. We want to hear you views on any of them.
