All forms of creativity are essential for thriving communities. Art nourishes the soul.
I hope that the free for the first two hours rule will apply to these areas as well.
This is an awesome and innovative idea!
This is good. We always by ice creams etc at the Cafe when we visit, so as long as that would make us exempt from the parking fee, I am all for this. Hopefully the tour buses will keep coming. I think they will, as our gardens are so extraordinary and $20 divided by 10-30 people in the bus, is not that much.
Gully restoration is very important to Hamilton's urban ecosystems. The sooner we can start benefitting from this work, the better.
We’re proposing to balance our books in 2024/25 and reset our debt-to-revenue ratio to 300% for 2021/22 then decreasing by 5% each year until 2025/26 where we will remain at 280% from 2026/27 to 2030/31. Rates are proposed to increase by an average of 8.9% in 2021/22 and 4.9% annually until 2030/31.
I think that the five priorities that you have are all equally important and that we need to make them happen. Therefore I am happy to pay more rates to ensure that Hamilton community is more prosperous in the future. Having said that it is important that those that cannot easily afford the rates increase, are supported by the community. Therefore I would hate to see a reduction on the funding given to the community organisations.
We have lots of other projects included in our Long-Term Plan. We want to hear you views on any of them.
