There needs to be a roundabout as so much more traffic on Gordonton Rd and dangerous with drivers and trucks pulling out of Puketaha Rd and taking risks. There have been some terrible accidents over the years.
I travel that way to work as Thomas Rd and school traffic is really busy and quicker for me to get to Moonlight Dr then Hector, going round the block up Gordonton Rd to new Borman Rd to Horsham Downs Rd. At present Borman Rd up to the intersection with Horsham Downs Rd is bumpy and narrow by the shops. Is there going to be curbing and channelling and better contouring of that area? By the subdivision by Pragma big drains are being dug.
More people would use this to walk to work or tourists to Parana Park. I think it will be very useful because most people don't like walking on the traffic bridges and breathing the fumes especially kids.
I have seen a jetty already at Hamilton Gardens and seen the boat there. That jetty looks fine to me.
The population of Hamilton is growing so need more space and out of the sun and bad weather.
Especially make out of town people pay for the privilege of viewing our world class gardens.
Try getting the locals more involved like in Rototuna to take care of gullies but under Council direction. What about like Taskforce Green unemployed people given work for their benefit.
We’re proposing to balance our books in 2024/25 and reset our debt-to-revenue ratio to 300% for 2021/22 then decreasing by 5% each year until 2025/26 where we will remain at 280% from 2026/27 to 2030/31. Rates are proposed to increase by an average of 8.9% in 2021/22 and 4.9% annually until 2030/31.
The ratepayers won't be happy about that. Surely with a rising population and infill housing there should be more rates coming in however more infrastructure to build as suburbs expand. The developers must be making a mint selling houses at sky high prices. Someone up the food chain has to pay their share as a lot of ratepayers maybe retirees or solo parents. We haven't had wage rises for sometime before Covid. Or trim the Wishlist for a year.
We have lots of other projects included in our Long-Term Plan. We want to hear you views on any of them.
