Why is it so expensive? What is the plan? A censored traffic light should not cost $3 mil. You need to look at your supplier and encourage some competition in the market.
Wasn't this intersection just upgraded? Why wasn't it done in conjunction with this latest change? Re-work is more expensive. Would this include the final connection of Borman road? Plan better!
Again... $11 million is crazy. You need to improve the tender process to encourage competition and institute penalties for cost overrun.
This can probably be pushed out further, unless it is part of the alternative transportation initiative and includes electrification of the ferry.
I'd suggest instead to invest the remaining $20 million in the overdue swimming facility in Rototuna.
Great Idea, but have some free parking that is still in walking distance, but a little further away.
We’re proposing to balance our books in 2024/25 and reset our debt-to-revenue ratio to 300% for 2021/22 then decreasing by 5% each year until 2025/26 where we will remain at 280% from 2026/27 to 2030/31. Rates are proposed to increase by an average of 8.9% in 2021/22 and 4.9% annually until 2030/31.
4.9% 3 times is higher than the annual inflation rate.
We have lots of other projects included in our Long-Term Plan. We want to hear you views on any of them.
