Thanks for shaping Hamilton Kirikiriroa together!

Consultation on our draft Long-Term Plan closed on 7 April 2021.

Hamiltonians have told us about our draft Long-Term Plan and what would make Hamilton even better.

Council will adopt the Long-Term Plan on 24 June which means our plans for the next 10 years will be confirmed. Once it’s been adopted, we’ll update this website so make sure you come back and check them out.

Kia ora koutou,

I want to personally thank every Hamiltonian who took the time to share their voice on our 2021-31 draft Long-Term Plan. Your feedback is valued by Elected Members, and will be used to shape our decisions for Hamilton for the next decade. Your Councillors and I have some difficult decisions to make as we weigh up what you have told us, while taking Council’s financial challenges and issues of affordability for ratepayers into account. What you can be sure of is that we will consider every piece of feedback before any final decisions are made.

Ngaa mihi nui,

Paula Southgate
Mayor of Hamilton
